Portraits of Gavril Ivanovich Kozlov (1732-1791), Assistant Rector of the Academy of Fine Art This depiction of the academician Kozlov by the little-known painter Leonty Simonovich Miropolsky exemplifies the effect of eighteenth-century French and Italian work on Russian portraiture.
